Chakra Meditaiton for Morning Routine

Introduction

There are seven chakras (Sanskrit for “wheel”) point as depicted in the above diagram. Each one of them has a chant. Chant slowly for the duration of your breath. Give an equal part of the exhale to each part of the syllable and feel where they resonate. Start the concentration from root to crown.

Muladhara

  • Translation: Root chakra
  • Location: Root of the Spine
  • Chant: Lam
  • Element: Earth
  • Energy: Safe, grounded
  • Action: I am

Svadisthana

  • Translation: Sacral chakra
  • Location: Naval
  • Chant: Vam
  • Element: Water
  • Energy: In the flow
  • Action: I feel.

Manipura

  • Translation: Solar Plexus chakra
  • Location: Below the Rib cage
  • Chant “Ram”
  • Element: Fire
  • Energy: self-mastery
  • Action: I do

Anahata

  • Translation: Heart chakra
  • Location: Heart
  • Chant: “Yam”
  • Element: Air
  • Energy: Love, the drum that needs no drummer
  • Action: I love

Vishuddha

  • Translation: Throat chakra
  • Location: Throat
  • Chant “Ham”
  • Element: Ether
  • Energy: Creativity, Expression, Purification
  • Action: I speak

Ajna

  • Translation: Third eye chakra
  • Location: Middle of eye brows
  • Chant “Aum”
  • Element: Transcendent
  • Energy: Mind
  • Action: I see

Sahasrara

  • Translation: Crown chakra
  • Chant: Instead of chanting, we just listen
  • Element: nothing, everything, and all that is between and beyond that
  • Energy: Equilibrium
  • Action: I know
